Isle of Wight Council - Prize Draw Terms and Conditions


  1. This prize draw is being run by Isle of Wight Council (IWC) ( with the help of service providers Cogworx (, Eight ( and Podengo ( 

  2. By completing the survey and therefore entering the prize draw, you are agreeing to these terms & conditions.

  3. The prize draw is free to enter.


How to enter

  1. The prize draw will include those who submit a completed survey submission up to the date and time that the survey is withdrawn. Isle of Wight Council reserves the right to choose this date based on the number of ‘completes’ that the research is targeting. 

  2. To enter the prize draw, simply complete a survey and provide your email address that will constitute your entry to the prize draw.

  3. IWC will not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.

  4. IWC will not accept responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.

  5. The prize will be one £100 Wight Gift Card voucher.

  6. The winner will be drawn at random from all entries the IWC at its sole discretion deems to be valid.

  7. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.

  8. We reserve the right to substitute prizes with another prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.

  9. The decision of IWC regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it. 

  10. The winner will be notified after 28.02.22 via the email provided on the survey and shall have 14 days to claim the prize by responding to the email. 

  11. If IWC does not receive a response to its notification under clause 10   that person shall lose their right to claim the prize, and IWC reserves the right to choose and notify a new winner.


  1. The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except:

    1. employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;

    2. employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or

    3. members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.

  2. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. IWC may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.

  3. IWC will not accept competition entries that are:

    1. automatically generated by computer;

    2. completed by third parties or in bulk;

    3. illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;

    4. photocopies and not originals; or

    5. incomplete.

  4. There is a limit of one entry to the competition per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.

  5. IWC reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

Receipt of the prize

  1. IWC shall undertake reasonable endeavours to ensure that the prize is delivered to the winner’s nominated address (or other collection method agreed with the council) within 14 days of the winner having claimed their prize and IWC having agreed the method of delivery.


Data protection and publicity

  1. You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw being used by IWC for the purposes of administering the prize draw, and for those purposes as defined within our privacy notice.

  3. The winner agrees to the release of their first name to any other prize draw participants in the situation described in clause [2] above .

  4. All personal information shall be used in accordance with the Isle of Wight Council Privacy Notice



  1. IWC reserves the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice. 

  2. Insofar as is permitted by law, IWC, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of IWC, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

  1. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
